That great feeling at Christmas you get, sitting down with a hot drink or a cold beverage and watching a movie. In this guide I’m going to share my top 5 movies to check out over the festive period. Get the popcorn and sweets ready…
From Saturday Night Live to the big screen, Will Ferrell has in my opinion always provided great entertainment. Not only is he a good comedian, but he can cover more serious stuff too. Elf is a Christmas classic and worth watching every year. If for some reason you haven’t seen it then check out the trailer below and really consider adding it to your list.
2. Donnie Brasco
Hear me out here, this movie has a Christmas period in it – so it’s fine. If you’re looking for something more in the crime drama direction then this movie is a must watch. It may not be family friendly (so perhaps not on Christmas Day), but certainly something to check out in the run up to Christmas.
3. Daddy’s Home 2
This Christmas comedy may not have gone down brilliantly well with critics, but it’s still a fun movie to watch at home over the festive period. If you like a bit of slapstick and enjoyed the first Daddy’s Home movie then this is for you.
4. Die Hard
Is it a Christmas movie or not? The ultimate annual debate but as far as I’m concerned – it is. This needs no real introduction. Pure classic adults only Christmas viewing, with a nice cold beer.
5. Home Alone
I watched this many times as a child and loved it. It has to be one of the best classics to sit down with the family and watch every year. Slapstick comedy fun at Christmas.
