Thunder Force (2021)

This is a recent release from Netflix directed by Ben Falcone. Falcone’s wife Melissa McCarthy stars in a leading role, both having teamed up on several occasions to release titles that you may already be familiar with The Boss, Life of the PartySuperintelligence, and, now, Thunder Force.

The premise is that criminals are now becoming super villains, Octavian Spencer as Emily Stanton has developed the technology to give ordinary citizens super powers as a means to fight back. This goes awry when Melissa McCarthy as her estranged best-friend Lydia takes the formula.

Love and Monsters (2020)

This movie has been a long time in the making with original development starting back in 2012. Despite production delays and it’s debut release via video on demand, due to Covid restrictions, Love and Monsters has been met with critical acclaim.

Love and Monsters is an apocalyptic action-adventure moving co-starring Dylan O’Brien and Jessica Henwick as on screen love interests.

The visuals look incredible – i.e. the collective of jellyfish floating in the sky and the graphics surrounding various monsters that inhabit Earth. This is certainly one to add to your watch list if you have not already.

Shadow And Bone (2021)
